Day 31 - 31/05/22

Tuesday 31st May
Final day of the Pink Ribbon Walk. What an amazing challenge! I didn't think I'd make it, but I have. And not only that, I've passed the monthly goal of 310,000 steps. I'd like to thank everyone who has donated so generously for this cause. Your donations have motivated me through this challenge. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Day 30 - 30/05/22

Tuesday 31st May
Today I went off road on my morning walk - I found a trail through the fields which led me to find the chickens and rooster that we can hear from our house... Their clocks need resetting as the roosters are always late :)

Day 29 - 29/05/22

Monday 30th May
After a slow start to the day and after a visit to my grandma, I squeezed in an hour's walk (6 km) before heading off to the cinema last night. No cats or dogs seen today, not surprised it was raining!

Day 28 - 28/05/22

Monday 30th May
After a busy Saturday going around the shops, on the hunt for the perfect garden table as well as the usual weekly food shop, I also went for a short evening walk. Final step count for today was over 13,000 steps!

Day 27 - 27/05/22

Monday 30th May
Spent most of the day at home today, emptying the remaining boxes left over from the house move and reorganising my home office/creative space. Still went for an evening walk, though no cats or dogs were spotted :(

Day 26 - 26/05/22

Monday 30th May
Bank holiday today. We went to Batibouw to get some ideas for our house. 8000 steps done at the fair, topped up with a 3km walk in the evening.

Morning walk around the streets near my office. Lovely in the sunshine!

Went for a lunchtime walk between two showers. Spotted this artwork on my lunch time walkies today. "Together for Forests" by street artist Carlos Alberto GH

Monday 30th May
Even in light rain I will go walkies. Just not in a thunderstorm ⛈ 😱 Felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland wandering through a few back alleys I found myself in. Thank you Google Maps!

Monday 30th May
Today was a rest day but still managed a decent amount of steps. We made the most of the sunny day and went to a local brocante

On today's evening walk I spotted this amusing parking sign ahead of a brocante the next day.

Today I did a longer evening walk to reach the daily step goal as I was unable to walk this morning due to a traffic jam making me late for work 🤷🏼‍♀️

Day 19 - 19/05/22

Sunday 29th May
Today was a forced rest day due to an all day meeting at the office. Still, I'm not far off the 10 thousand final step count, not bad for a day of meetings.

Day 18 - 18/05/22

Sunday 29th May
Any outing is a food excuse to raise the step count. After a busy day at the office and a hard gym session, I walked to the bottle bank at the end of the road. 🤣

Day 17 - 17/05/22

Sunday 29th May
Change of scenery today. Walked around the Cinquantenaire near the office. Optimal dog spotting park!

Day 16 - 16/05/22

Tuesday 17th May
Today's walking involved 3 walks around the neighbourhood as well as the steps done at home. Every day I notice something different about my new neighbourhood.

Day 15 - 15/05/22

Tuesday 17th May
Today was a great day! Despite having organised a BBQ and probably eating too much, I still managed to get over 14,000 steps in! I saw lots of cats on today's walks: a grand total of 7! And only 3 dogs, must have been too hot for them!

Day 13 and 14

Tuesday 17th May
Every step helps! I did a few shorter walks on 13/05 and 14/05 as both days were pretty busy!

Day 11 and 12

Tuesday 17th May
I spent these two days walking around the neighbourhood, discovering people's pretty gardens. 9.3km and 9.6km walked on 11/05 and 12/05 respectively

Day 9 and 10

Tuesday 17th May
09/05 was spent mostly at home clearing out the kitchen as we have work starting on a new kitchen soon.

10/05 was my best walking day so far, over 16,000 steps! I walked to the cinema that is about 3.5km away from our house, turned out it didn't open until 9am!

Day 7 and 8

Tuesday 17th May
Day 7 started off slowly but surely. Day 8 was glorious sunshine and amazing weather to walk in. I rewarded myself with an ice cream :)

Day 6 - 06/05/22

Friday 6th May
Today I've been on 3 walks. This morning was very foggy and didn't see many other walkers on my route. I did see this goose family swimming along 💗 🐈 Cats seen today: 2 🐕 Dogs seen today: 3

Day 5 - 05/05/22

Thursday 5th May
I made a friend today on my evening walk. 😻 Cats seen today while walking: 4 Dogs seen today: 6

Day 4 - 04/05/22

Wednesday 4th May
Today's morning walk before breakfast. 🚶🏼‍♀️ 🐕 dogs seen: 2 🐈 cats seen: 0. They must have been having a lie in today.

Day 3 - 03/05/22

Tuesday 3rd May
Today's morning walk started a bit later than planned as I missed my alarm clock 😅 Dogs seen: 4 🐕 Cats seen: 2 🐈

Day 2 - 02/05/22

Monday 2nd May
This morning, after waving the other half off to work, I set out for my morning walk. I walked a little over 4km around the park that is close to home.

I thought I'd keep track of the number of dogs and cats I spotted on my walk. It seems everyone has a pet in our new neighbourhood!

Monday 2nd May
Yesterday, 1 May, I didn't hit my target as I had planned but today 2 May I plan on doing better. I'm off to walk around my new neighbourhood.
